The question is: “Many artists write songs especially for the Twilight movies. Was it like that with your songs?”and Rob’s answer: 0:25
30. Cosmopolis (59 lists; 7 top spots)
What we can’t argue is that Cosmopolis is the work of a master filmmaker, one who is determined to have us think about the ideas packed into the trunk of this limo bound for the furthest corners of the psyche. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star
As for projects that may or may not be happening, Law confirmed Naomi Watts' statement that Werner Herzog's Gertrude Bell biopic "Queen of the Desert" is now on hold and he will likely be no longer be available for it when it returns. "I don’t think that’s happening. I don’t think I can do that anymore," he admitted. David Cronenberg and French production companies decidedly seem to be getting on very well. After his Cosmopolis, produced byAlfama, the Canadian director is now to work with France again.
According to Le Film Français, SBS Productions (directed by Saïd Ben Saïd) is to lead production on his next feature, Maps To The Stars. The film is to star Rachel Weisz, Viggo Mortensen, and Robert Pattinson. Co-produced by Germany (Integral Films) and Canada, the film, to recount the misadventures of two child actors caught up in Hollywood's dark side, is to start shooting next May.hé hé... tite trad. ...
Kelly Osbourne has confessed she is delighted by her fellow British friends Adele and Robert Pattinson's international success.
Kelly Osbourne is ''so proud'' of Adele and Robert Pattinson.
The 'Fashion Police' host is friends with both stars and thinks they set a great example to the rest of the UK.
She said: ''I know Adele from years back and I've hung out with Robert Pattinson in London since I was 19.
''It makes me so proud of my country that they're all doing so well. Rob was at the Soho House party in LA [after the Golden Globes], and the last time I saw him there, his friend was stealing the toilet roll.
''Everyone was so happy that Adele won Best Original Song [at the Golden Globes]. Adele is so well-loved.
''When she hit the red carpet, everyone's mouths dropped - her skin is glowing. I need to get her baby boy present.''
ROBERT Pattinson looked like just another music fan as he enjoyed Adelaide's Big Day Out at the Showgrounds on Friday.
The Hollywood star, and part-time muso, has been spotted all over town this week and was among the thousands watching The Killers, Vampire Weekend and the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the festival.
Wearing his trademark baseball cap, check shirt and dark jeans, the Twilight hunk happily posed for photos backstage with John Day and friends.
"He was very cool, very gracious and good humoured ... I asked him how he was enjoying Adelaide and he said he'd only been here a short time and hadn't seen much," John says.
Robert's new movie, The Rover, will be shot in various locations in SA's Flinders Ranges, but the actor admitted to not knowing much about the area.
"I asked him what he (Rob) thought of the Flinders Ranges and he wasn't sure what or where that was, so he had a bit of a laugh about that," John says.
Later in the evening, Robert kicked on to what is becoming his favourite Adelaide nightspot, the Grace Emily Hotel on Waymouth St, where he had a few drinks in the beer garden.
Earlier in the week, the actor - wearing shorts, a white shirt and a backpack - was seen riding a bike on his own through Adelaide.
Confidential understands Rob was scheduled to leave Adelaide this weekend to start shooting on The Rover, with production set to begin this week.
Grimmy and some lucky competition winners went to meet Robert Pattinson at a secret location and talk about the new Twilight film #TWIHARDS
Cronenberg: There are actors who wishes to stay on the safe side and do rather conservative movies, but if you are a serious actor you want to try the edgy side. In this movie you will find Rob standing at the edge.
Rob: I was almost all the time in the limo all by myself and David stays outside of the car. It was a bit odd at the beginning but you can’t rely on someone else about acting. And David is very sensitive about the actors trying to do; looked like he was looking for a something interesting out of it. I felt very comfortable about it.
Rob: Other casts come and visit the limo and do the uncomfortable act right in front of me siting very comfortable. It was like watching their acting plan in the way, I liked it very much!
Robert Pattinson is so charming, all he needs to do is show up these days to get his fans’ seal of approval.
But being super-nice obviously helps!
“Wasn’t expecting him to be so sweet,” Tara Oberti of Adelaide happily told E! News of her encounter last week with the Twilight star at the airport in the South Australian capital, where she and some pals had gathered to await Pattinson’s arrival. He’s in town to shoot The Rover with Guy Pearce.
“He was just, like, ‘Thank you guys so much for coming and waiting for me, it means a lot,’” Oberti recalled. “Then his manager or whatever he was thanked us girls, too, and then we were walking off. I [told R.Pattz], ‘Enjoy your time in Adelaide’ and he thanked me again.”
But the fun didn’t end there: Oberti said that she and her mates also saw Pattinson later that night at a local pub—and he totally gave them a grin of recognition!
“It was a small, grungy type of pub,” she described the place, “dark inside, loud and busy, but real chilled out with acoustic guitars and all that.” (No photos from the pub encounter, alas, but from what we’ve heard Rob say about making music like a normal bloke in his garage, it sounds like his kind of bar, don’t you think?)
Taylah Cailes, another one of lucky ladies who shared a camera click with R.Pattz at the airport (both she and Oberti shared their spoils on Twitter), told E! News that her group was waiting near a “secret door” at the airport from which they’ve also seen Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Zac Efron emerge from at times.
“He was walking with his manager and one security guard,” Cailes recalled. “He looked like a completely normal person. He had a guitar with him as well. I was the first to spot him walk out and I froze and was sort of speechless and pointing at him. He saw me and he had the cutest smirk on his face!”
“We asked nicely if we could get a picture with him,” she said. “He said he was in a rush and asked if it was okay if we got a group photo and made sure that we knew each other, and we said, ‘Yes,’ took our photo and then he said, ‘Thank you,’ to us, smiling, and got in his car.”
Can someone say gentleman?
Sounds like Pattinson just can’t help but make devoted friends everywhere he goes.

ESQ: You’re not the only franchise star transitioning to more artsy films. Do you feel a rivalry there? Ever see Robert Pattinson getting great roles and think, He was once the kid in the background of my scenes at Hogwarts?
DR: With Rob, I look at people and I think it’s easy to spot the ones who are in it for the right reasons, who want careers with longevity. What’s interesting about mine and Rob’s scenario is that Potter and Twilight are what made us, but Jennifer Lawrence had an Oscar nomination before Hunger Games. Mentally, we’re rooting for each other. Franchises aren’t to be avoided. They can be exciting and they give you opportunities to do other films. And it’s always pleasing to see it’s possible to come out of a franchise, have a career, and be respected, when you see these other actors.
What's it like to beat the likes of Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt and George Clooney to the title of Total Film's Sexiest Actor?
“It's insane. It basically doesn't make any sense. When I was a teenager, my sister had a poster of Brad Pitt from Legends Of The Fall on her bedroom wall. I also thought it was generally accepted that George Clooney was some kind of gold standard? And doesn't Robert Pattinson inspire mayhem and delirium wherever he goes?
I suppose my question is: Are you sure? If you are sure, then I am very flattered. VERY. Thank you, ladies. You are women of impeccable taste and style. My god, you know how to make a man feel good.
QUEEN OF THE DESERT's Werner Herzog with Robert Pattinson, Jude Law and Naomi Watts would be delayed.
Naomi Watts says it herself, while the filming of this biopic of Gertrude Bell was scheduled to begin in March.
With Robert Pattinson as Lawrence of Arabia, Naomi Watts as Gertrude Bell and Jude Law in an indeterminate role, QUEEN OF THE DESERT could only attract our attention, our curiosity and impatience.Especially with Werner Herzog as director. One of the great filmmakers of our time, in the last few years, is more busy with his (excellent) documentaries than with his fiction movies. Then to see him return to a fiction feature film, four years after MY SON MY SON WHAT HAVE YE DONE and three years after the crazy BAD LIEUTENANT PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS, could only rejoice us.
Except that QUEEN OF THE DESERT will not be filmed anytime soon while shooting was originally planned to begin in March. Naomi Watts herself gave these bleak news about the project, first by telling E ! Online:"It's still a way's off. I don't know yet.
Hopefully, it will happen. I just can't travel again right now because I did a lot of traveling last year. It's been a big year and it's time for me to be home with the kids." "With MTV (viaThe Playlist), the actress, in full promotion of TWO MOTHERS in Sundance, added that shots could still begin this year or in 2014. However, she ensures that Robert Pattinson is not 100% confirmed in the casting ...
“He just seems like a bright and sensitive kid,” Guy tells us. “So I just think he’s really right for the role.”
We told Guy, who has starred in movies like The Kings Speech, Memento, Lawlessand the upcoming Iron Man 3, that we bet Rob thinks it’s pretty cool to work with such an experienced actor.
“Um I don’t know, hopefully he thinks so!” Guy says. “I think it’s about collaborating and all getting on the same page. It doesn’t matter how experienced or inexperienced someone is, you hopefully just all understand each other and realize you are all on the same film together.
The Rover is set in the apocalyptic future and Rob helps Guy track down his car after a gang steals it.
A RELAXED Robert Pattinson has been enjoying Adelaide's nightlife before filming starts in the Outback on his latest movie.
The casually dressed Hollywood star attracted little attention as he left Cork Wine Bar in Gouger St on Saturday night, with director David Michod and producer Liz Watts.
The Rover is a $12.5 million futuristic western.
The Twilight star enjoyed more of a boy's night on Sunday, with one fan spotting him having a few drinks at Currie St nightclub Zhivago.
Onlookers say he sat in a roped-off, VIP section of the club, and occasionally talked to other club patrons.
A spokeswoman for Zhivago would only confirm that Pattinson - who is believed to be staying at a large inner-city hotel - was at the club with friends for about an hour.
In town without his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kristen Stewart, Pattinson also had some low-key drinks at Waymouth St pub The Grace Emily Hotel on Friday night.
It's understood Pattinson, who touched down in Adelaide on Thursday, has spent time at the South Australian Film Corporation's new Glenside studios for meetings ahead of shooting, which is expected to begin later this month.
A spokeswoman for the movie declined to reveal where and when filming would take place but it's believed the Flinders Ranges is one of the locations.
Pattinson's co-star in The Rover, Australian actor Guy Pearce, is also expected to arrive in Adelaide in the next week.
Pattinson will play a thief in the movie, which has been described as Mad Max-esque.
"It's the type of part I was afraid I wouldn't get after being in a franchise," he said.
"It's one of the best (scripts) I've read. "It's one of my top five favourite scripts that I've read since I started doing this."
