Robert Pattinson, "It’s All on You" – Song Review

...
25-year-old British actor Robert Pattinson just got a whole lot dreamier — the ‘Twilight’ heartthrob is sinking his teeth into songwriting. Pattinson recently performed an original song as part of the ‘Songs From a Room’ project launched by SoFarSounds.com.
Pattinson performed his track, which according to some fan sites is called ‘It’s All on You,’ in a small club in England. During his intimate and impromptu performance, Pattinson can be heard strumming on his acoustic guitar and wailing out some very emotional lyrics. His grainy vocals are pitchy at times, but the Edward Cullen actor proves he has the capability of hitting big notes, especially when he sings these lines:
“It’s all on you, baby
You turned your back when I tried to learn
Still I cannot lift my eyes
If your hands are turning mine
But you dared not
What you said our souls could contain
They could contain
But now I’m gone
With a broken twisted soul in mind
But for how long?
Cause I’ve wasted this train of youth all on you, all on you.”
Pattinson has recorded songs for films before (he has has songs on the ‘Twilight’ soundtrack and in the film ‘How to Be’), but ‘It’s All on You’ is the first time we are hearing this raw, unbridled emotion from Pattinson. With a voice that is reminiscent of singer-songwriters like Ray LaMontagne and his international superstar status, we’re sure this won’t be the last song you hear from Robert Pattinson.
