Cétait dans l'air, telle une mouette volant au-dessus du palais sans oser se poser, tel un rêve trop timide pour devenir réalité. Et pourtant. Il sera là. Il est en route. Il arrive. Les festivaliers, surtout les jeunes et toutes les adolescentes présentes à quelques kilomètres à la ronde, sont déjà en transe. Robert Pattinson est en passe de vampiriser la Croisette.
Mardi 19 mai, la star électrique de Twilight- hapitre 1: Fascination honorera de sa beauté animale, sensuelle, irréelle, la 62ème édition.
Il fera une apparition sur le plateau du Grand Journal de Canal +, auquel il arrivera entouré d'une armée de gros bras ultra-musclés, une protection digne d'un chef d'Etat. Et le lendemain, c'est le tapis rouge du palais qui rosira de plaisir, puisqu'il montera les marches et assistera à la projection officielle d'Inglourious Basterds.
Mama mia.... pâmoisons, cris d'hystérie, folie assurée, et pire encore. Car s'il est là mercredi, s'il assiste à une projection, cela veut dire qu'il dort à Cannes et donc qu'il s'y réveillera, que jeudi 21 sera encore jour de fête pour les midinettes et leurs copines.
Il sera à Cannes pour présenter au Marché du film son prochain long métrage, Remember Me...
