Movie stars are an endangered species, so how does a rising generation of Hollywood talent break into the big time if having their name above the title means less than it ever has before?
“Sometimes people get in position where they get in a big movie and overplay their hand,” Wyck Godfrey, a producer of “Twilight,” said. “What that huge check does is put a target on an actor’s back.”
“Because fans of the book series love those characters, their fondness for the material gets transported onto the actor playing them,” Godfrey said. “The trick is just to not get enslaved to the character.”
He said that’s a trap that Lawrence, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Shailene Woodley, who is set to star in the screen adaption of the best-seller “Divergent,” have largely avoided by mixing up their performances in young adult epics with smaller-budgeted movies like “On the Road” or “Cosmopolis” that stretch themselves as an actor.

rough transcript...
thanks to ToR
Question for RKT... asking for their favourite lines in the whole saga.
Taylor has some lines popping into his head, he doesn’t know. He liked the tent scene.
Rob’s favourite line is in Twilight and it was Bella’s line and he thought it was so funny how she said “You’re beautiful.”
Kristen talks about Bella, how she changed during the saga. She says she still feels really close to all the scenes.
Rob asked about the fans. He admires their devotion for the movies and is happy they stayed that long
Wyck talks about the script, the changes between book – movie. The movie has to be interesting for the fans. More action scenes
Taylor talks that its weird, the end. no more twi movies.
Kristen question: Do you see the cast still as a family:
Yeah, we don’t go to breakfast every sunday, but yes, we still are good friends.
Question Rob: the end is a big surprise for the fans can you say something about it?Rob: We’re not allowed to talk about it. I didn’t read the book so had no idea we could make our own suggestions. The end isn’t the same as in the book. The fans have their own imagination how it’s going to end so why not us?Q:Do you have problems with remembering the lines?Taylor said Rob has problems with the scripts, he keeps asking “what does this mean.”
Rob: No, I’m good at it. Kristen is the one who adds her own lines
Question for Bill regarding the work with Alexandre Desplat for the soundtrack
Bill said it wasn’t his type of music but he kept thinking about what would fit into the scenes.
Barbara asked RKT but put four questions into one and nothing really made sense.
Rob said Twilight was his first American movie and that he was shocked by it all.Stephenie stayed all the time with them, wanted to be a part of the movie too
Q: 20.000 fans at the Munich New Moon fanevent, Rob looked impressed. Can you compare the fan event, the fans with now?
The fan event in Munich was surreal, I had no idea what does it mean to be an actor. We’re doing this for 5 years now, it’s crazy, the devotion.
Questions for RKT, when looking back at how much the saga has influenced their lives. Would they sign the contract again?
K & T said yes, Rob smirked “Would you say no right now?”
Q:Have you ever listened to your German voices?
Rob: No, I haven’t seen the movies in German, I don’t know our German voices.Rob said he likes when the films are dubbed, like in Spanish.*laughs* It even sounds better in Spanish.

Rob: Hmm, I do not know because I have very great respect! So far there are no plans to ..
Question to Rob and Taylor: Are you actually afraid of something?
Taylor: I'm terrified of sharks! Rob said: Well, it's easy to avoid, right? (much laughter!)
Rob: I'm afraid of nerve invasion ... No, I'm not afraid of anything (lacht!)
Question: The fans must now wait a whole year until the final part comes out. Why so long?

Rob: that was fun (lacht!), a pretty bloody affair but ... ;-)
earlier Question: Do you expect with this huge success of the Twilight saga?

Wyck Godfrey about Breaking Dawn, Part1. ...

Twilight Examiner
In the December issue of Syfy Magazine (hitting stores now, with The Walking Dead featured on the cover), Wyck Godfrey (producer on The Twilight Saga) talked a bit about how and fellow filmmakers decided upon hiring Bill Condon to direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Explaining first how each of the previous directors matched up with their respective projects, Godfrey explained why he thought the final two were a good match for Condon.
"With Breaking Dawn, it’s a journey into adulthood. It’s a very mature step for Edward and Bella, moving into marriage and sex for the first time, pregnancy, birth. All of that really speaks to finding a filmmaker who could help our young actors, who hadn’t gone through any of that stuff … go through that process. Bill’s work has always come from a place of maturity, I found … He’s always directed films about misunderstood outsiders. And I feel that Edward and Bella are misunderstood outsiders, in terms of what they want. And Condon’s work also has some visual scale to it. Dreamgirls showed that he could direct a movie that had a really beautiful visual style to it."

Godfrey also admitted that the Twilight fan community has been influential in more ways than one and re-iterated the point Bill Condon made at Comic-Con this summer, that fan blogs and opinions coming off of watching things from afar led to a few on-set changes during production.
"The first day of shooting in Brazil, Rob and Kristen's pictures got taken everywhere. And overwhelmingly the response was, 'Oh my gosh! His hair is too dark! His hair is black! What did they do? His hair is too black!' And it literally forced us to go in the next day and look at him and go, 'Did we go too dark with his hair? Should we lighten it a little bit?' And I think we ended up lightening it . . . Also, you've read all the blogs about the books by the time you're making the movies. So, in some way all that is subconsciously affecting your decisions as you're working on the adaptations of the scripts. I know that numerous times we'll be in a room talking about the script and someone will go, 'No, No! That's one fo the fans' favorite scenes! WE have to do that!'"
