- R. Pattz was out tonight at the Elle Women in Hollywood event in Beverly Hills to present an award to his Bel Ami costar Uma Thurman.
- "I'm learning how to read tonight," an actually nervous-looking Pattinson said when he reached the stage. "I find this terrifying.
- He laughed, saying that it was "so annoying" to follow other presenters and honorees "who were so funny... [and] so smart."
- The Twilight star was dressed in a gray suit, white shirt and tie, his five-o'clock shadow creeping toward six and his hair messy but cool.
- Pattinson said working with Thurman was a "pretty crazy experience," describing her Bel Ami role as his wife as "someone more intelligent, more charming, wittier and better in bed than me."
- "Which," he added with a smile, "was obviously very difficult to cast."
- The codirectors "s--t their pants" when Thurman first walked on set, "and I did a little bit, as well," he cracked.
- "Rob, you're a real gentleman on and off the screen," Thurman gushed back.
- Pattinson's appearance was not publicized beforehand. Instead, he skipped the red carpet and entered the event through a side entrance at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills

Madeleine: I took him to Cannes to make him better. But I know that he will not make it. These are my favorite, thanks. (referring to the flowers).
Charles: you came to see me die.
George: No, I escaped from the city.
Charles: Because I will live.

Uma Thurman has praised her 'Bel Ami' co-star Robert Pattinson for his acting ability.
The 25-year-old actor became very involved for his role as 19th century Parisienne womaniser Georges Duroy for the film, and Uma insists he is constantly working hard to bring his skills up to the "next level."
In an interview with Stylist MagazineUk, she said: ''He's very serious. He did a huge amount of rehearsals in his own time. I think that's what you do when you're a young actor, when you take your work very seriously and want to take it to the next level.''
Uma, 41, rose to fame as a teenager in films including 'Dangerous Liaisons' and 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen' and while she finds it hard to be as serious as her co-star - famous for his role as Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight' franchise - she did offer him advice on set.
She added: ''When you've been doing this a really long time, it's hard to take it all so seriously. I said to him, 'Don't get too upset about it, because, before you know it, 'Twilight' will just be an old film that made you lucky enough to get another job. But when you're in that position and you're young, it's hard to hear through the noise.''
Uma doesn't like to watch her oldest roles again, and she displayed a similar attitude to Robert in her earlier years. She added: ''I find it excruciating to watch myself as a teenager. I've made a vow never to do it. I was only 17 and working with some of the finest people you will ever meet in the industry, but you don't realise until you've spent 25 years trying to work with such a group again.''

Uma Thurman: Robert is beautiful. Almost more beautiful in person than on screen. He is also a good actor. He will make a great career, there will not be only Twilight in his career.
Throughout the course of his first few years in the business, Robert Pattinson has had a great run with quality leading ladies. During MTV News' recent live interview with the star, he joked that he has a special place in his heart for working with "hot girls".
When MTV News caught up with one of the "hot" women in question, Uma Thurman, she laughed off the compliment and turned the praise back toward her co-star and his impressive work in their upcoming period drama, "Bel Ami."
"Robert Pattinson is, I think, going to be a really serious actor," Thurman said while promoting her new movie "Ceremony." "I think he's incredibly concrete in his presence on the set and obviously is very handsome. [He] is a very nice person and he's sensitive. He's present. ... He's a really good actor."
Thurman went on to say that while a lot of attention is focused on his attractiveness, he was very professional during filming and held his own with all the women who appear in "Bel Ami."
"Yes, he's extremely dashing, like an old-world movie star," Thurman admitted. "[But] he's got a lot of weight to him. I don't think he was knocked down by all the women they threw at him [during the filming of 'Bel Ami'], which I think is probably lucky for him."
Speaking to Pattinson's comments that we might see a lot of his bum in "Bel Ami," Thurman revealed she was not privy to any RPattz nakedness.
"I didn't see his bum once!" she said, laughing. "So I can't tell you about it. I don't know what happened to him with other characters, I have no idea, to tell you the truth," she said, adding that just because she didn't see it, doesn't mean it won't be in the film. "I haven't seen the film cut together, so there may or may not be Robert's bum."

En réponse aux commentaires de Robert Pattinson comme quoi nous pourrions voir ses fesses à plusieurs reprises dans "Bel Ami", Uma Thurman a révélé qu'elle n'était pas au courant de la nudité de RPattz.
"Je n'ai pas vu son postérieur une fois !" dit-elle en riant. "Je ne peux donc pas vous dire quoi que ce soit sur ce sujet. Je ne sais pas ce qui lui est arrivé avec les autres personnages, je n'en ai aucune idée pour vous dire la vérité" dit-elle, ajoutant que ça n'était pas parce qu'elle n'avait rien vu que cela signifiait que ce ne sera pas le cas dans le film. "Je n'ai pas vu le film monté, de fait il se peut qu'il y ait ou pas les fesses de Robert".
Journaliste : J'ai hâte de voir Bel Ami. Pouvez vous nous parler de votre personnage ? De quoi ça parle ?
Uma : J'incarne cette incroyable femme indépendante dans ce monde d'hommes. Robert Pattinson incarne cette personne qui va grimper l'échelle sociale. C'est un jeune homme prêt à tout qui est très intelligent. Il trace sa voie dans la société par l'intermédiaire des femmes. Il comprends que les femmes sont... les femmes qui sont derrière les hommes sont en fait en charge du monde. Il se crée son chemin dans la vie par la séduction et la manipulation de ces femmes. Et mon personnage est un femme qui est en fait son équivalent car elle se fait une place grâce à sa capacité à manoeuvrer les hommes. Ces deux personnes se mettent ensemble, s'aiment à leur façon et s'utilisent réciproquement, se blessent et se quittent (rires).
Journaliste : Très bien. Avez vous vu le montage final ?
Uma : Non, je ne l'ai pas encore vu mais j'ai hâte.
