Daniel Radcliffe about Robert Pattinson....

...
from Esquire
ESQ: You’re not the only franchise star transitioning to more artsy films. Do you feel a rivalry there? Ever see Robert Pattinson getting great roles and think, He was once the kid in the background of my scenes at Hogwarts?
DR: With Rob, I look at people and I think it’s easy to spot the ones who are in it for the right reasons, who want careers with longevity. What’s interesting about mine and Rob’s scenario is that Potter and Twilight are what made us, but Jennifer Lawrence had an Oscar nomination before Hunger Games. Mentally, we’re rooting for each other. Franchises aren’t to be avoided. They can be exciting and they give you opportunities to do other films. And it’s always pleasing to see it’s possible to come out of a franchise, have a career, and be respected, when you see these other actors.

Daniel Radcliffe about Robert Pattinson...

...

I know it is a new interview.... but I think he kinda already say that some months ago...

from Première.fr

I have a weird relationship with fame. It's hard to live sometimes but I don't want to complain. People are nice with me and I think it comes with the way you handle things.
For example, I think it's totally different from what Rob (Pattinson) lives. He's a guy I like a lot - and no I do not have his cell phone number, I say this because it's always the first thing people ask me. He's a sex symbol. He's sexy and just need to do his brooding look for girls to fall. He has the perfect height to seduce girls, I'm the total opposite (laughs). He might be charming and cute, wild and sexy .. I do not have this kind of status, just look at pictures in the press. When we're put side by side, I look a little silly or I make faces whereas Rob always looks like a ladies' man. Therefore it doesn't help me when it comes to the ladies. Maybe because now that they grew up with me they consider me more like a big brother than a potential boyfriend.

Daniel Radcliffe tells GQ (UK) that Rob is a "sex symbol"

...
Photobucket
Yesterday, HP London Premiere, Trafalgar Square
Daniel also admitted he doesn't think his fans view him in the same was as 'Twilight' devotees do Robert Pattinson because they have seen him grow up on screen.

He explained to the British edition of GQ magazine: "There's more of a sexual energy behind 'Twilight' fans. Because people have mostly grown up with me, they tend to think of me as an older brother kind of figure. Whereas I think Rob is the sex symbol. And also, I guess, he's out there more than I am, going to parties and things.

"I think everyone goes to more parties than me, so it's not really a big competition."
I must admit, it's quite true for me... Photobucket I've seen him growing up, from kid to adult... I like what he is now... but I never saw him as a sex symbol... more like a little brother at the beginning, maybe now like a big bro now... (completely diff. from the way I see Rob, even when he was "Cedriiiiic"... Photobucket ... LOL... )

Daniel Radcliffe mentioned Rob in an interview with Snitch Seeker

Loving Daniel...

On whom you would wish a bad fate?
Do not expect me to give you names! I would not want my magic wand to turn into a whip against me! But I can tell you about the individuals who I generally don’t support. I have great difficulty, for example, with people who do not fulfill their commitment. Their incorrectness, selfishness are attitudes that I dislike greatly. Apart from that, I think I’d easily throw a spell on all those who say here and there that Robert Pattinson and myself are fighting a war, thank you! That’d be really great, no matter what!

Daniel Radcliffe thinks ‘Twilight’ spoof won’t bother Robert Pattinson...

...
Daniel Radcliffe has found Robert Pattinson’s rise to fame instructive. “I have no concept of what “Potter” looks like to the rest of the world, because I’m so involved in it,” Radcliffe once told us. “So to watch “Twilight” kind of explode globally had been fascinating.

Radcliffe also finds RPattz — his onetime “Potter” co-star — an appropriate target for some good-natured mockery. Earlier this month, the 21-year-old actor voiced a vampire character on “The Simpsons,” a pasty-faced heartthrob named Edmund directly inspired by Pattinson’s Twi-hunk Edward. Radcliffe hasn’t yet heard from his pal about the episode, but he’s pretty sure Rob didn’t mind the parody.
“You cannot be in a film as big as either “Potter” or “Twilight” and not have a pretty good sense of humor about yourself,” Radcliffe told us.
In the Halloween-themed episode, young Lisa Simpson falls for Radcliffe’s character after he saves her from an out-of-control school bus, a direct reference to the way in which Edward and Bella connect in “Twilight.” “I love your pallor,” Lisa coos.
Radcliffe himself has found himself a “Simpsons” target in the past, with references ranging from a Homer Simpson pet pig named Harry Plopper to a religious-minded character noting Potter and his wizard pals are going to hell. “South Park,” too, has zinged “Potter”: During a send-up of “The Lord of the Rings,” one character mocks a group of kids for dressing up like the Hogwarts crew. Radcliffe thinks it’s all hilarious, and he’s sure RPattz does too.
“I find it all so cool and funny and flattering,” he said. “I’m sure Rob’s got a sense of humor about [it].
“I’m sure I’ll be getting a bouquet of flowers,” he added.

Daniel Radcliffe... Catherine Hardwicke...

Catherine Hardwicke talks to Daniel Radcliffe..

about His & Robert Pattinson's Fame...

Photobucket

Radcliffe offered up an interesting comparison surrounding another fanatic franchise, "The Twilight Saga." A series that just happens to star "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire's" Robert Pattinson.  It turns out Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first film, visited the "Deathly Hallows" set and cemented the actor's theory on how it's Potter who is adored, not Radcliffe.

"We had a really interesting conversation and I was asking, 'How is Rob doing?' And all that and she was saying before Robert had even been cast she went to a reading of the book with Stephanie Meyer," Radcliffe recalls. "And when Meyer said the name, 'Edward Cullen,' the audience went nuts and were screaming and people were so obsessed with that character. So, whoever was going to step into that role was going to have a pretty crazy life for the next few years and I think it's the same with Harry. It doesn't really matter in a way who it is. If you are filling those shoes you are going to get a pretty wild reception."
Fans of Pattinson may disagree, but there is some truth to what the 21-year-old Brit believes.  He says screaming fans accost him once or twice a year, but he knows you'd have to "have some mad ego" if you don't realize "this is all a bit weird and crazy."

"I know me and I know I'm not somebody who particularly merits screaming and shouting," Radcliffe says. "There is nothing special about me as opposed to hundreds of thousands of other people out there.  So, the fact that people are shouting and screaming at me, the logical thing is that it must be because of the franchise."

Because Radcliffe has dealt with the attention since he was so young he says "It's just something you get used to."  Still, he knows he's luckier than some other "celebrities."

Robert Pattinson & Daniel Radcliffe: Megastars with humility

 ... ::rob::

 Photobucket
While Robert Pattinson, the Twilight actor and Kristen Stewart’s supposed boyfriend, is already known for his modesty, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has also come out in the air citing that he has always tried to stay grounded.

Daniel Radcliffe stands on the threshold of his 20s and despite being so young, he is already known in most parts of the planet. Right from a 5 year old kid to a 60 year wiser, he has displayed his phenomenal acting skills in his captivating wizardry films of the Harry Potter series.

Not only has he been spawning headlines for the last 10 years, he is also critically acclaimed and a super rich actor. But for someone whose name is chanted by millions of women, Daniel is a humble person who refrains from the lavish ramblings of people like the ostentatious Paris Hilton.

Daniel doesn’t consider himself a celebrity and tries to keep his feet on the ground. “I’ve never considered myself a celebrity. Usually, people who do feel that way aren’t very nice,” he cites.

Similarly, actor Robert Pattinson, too, despite having a tsunami like following goes about his business in a very modest manner. Down-to-earth and witty, he has hardly (or perhaps never) shown the airs of being a mega star.
