Lorsque Eric (Robert Pattinson) demande à Kendra (Patricia McKenzie) de lui coller un coup de taser directement dans le torse ("show me something I don't know"), c'est Pattinson qui colle une balle dans la tête à son alter ego vampirico-prude Edward tout en livrant une scène stupéfiante d'érotisme. A contrario, plus tôt dans le film mal-aimé de David Cronenberg, Juliette Binoche se tapait R-Pattz dans la voiture et c'était pas des masses érotique. Un symbole de la nouvelle chair de 2012, qui était décidement bien triste.
